The Essence of Why..

Hi there,

Some of you may have thought I quit since it has been so long since our last update. But quite the opposite - head down, bottoms up! Working like crazy day and night to keep my life and this business healthy and sustainable. For any of you who might think starting a business and getting over $100k on KS is a quick cash strategy, you are very mistaken. This is a slow, arduous process, even when I try to work efficiently and with maximum effort.

We are making progress in an international arena. V2 will come, and in this update I will share the progress made in as much detail as is comfortable. Meanwhile, we are selling the acceptable V1 version. It is a good first launch. It solves the problem - taking food easily on the go.

With this in mind, I would like to share a video a friend sent me. This is the essence of why I created the GreenTraveler. Do not know who to credit for this, but I am sure they appreciate if we share it. I hope all of you reading this will share with your friends, neighbors, and loved ones using the links below.

But what about a reusable plate? The GreenTraveler is, in my humble view the best reusable plate as it seals and keeps the dirty side hidden. Why have the creators of this video not shown a solution for the plastic plate they used? Because there really isn't one!... Until the GreenTraveler.

We hope everyone adopts a lifestyle that GreenTraveler and this video promotes. The convenience of having a container for food is beneficial for you and the planet. Please use it anywhere and everywhere.

Now for discussing how to improve it to be the PERFECT container, not just THE BEST container.....

Been trying plastic variations over and over, and we have made it better than V1 slightly, once, but not worth replacing an already good product. Now we are creating another prototype of a different kind before we make new molds. This is a CNC process, instead of a 3D printing or sintering. More expensive but cheaper than making wrong molds again.

Been even thinking of going straight to stainless steel, but we would have to launch another Kickstarter for that and would be substantially more expensive per unit. Plus not microwavable, and potentially less durable as deformations are easier in steel than plastic. I will continue to try for perfect in plastic, but if we end up going to market with stainless what are your thoughts?

V2 Update

Hey y'all!

You know, I am reminded over and over again that V1 is really a good product. It is hard to actually beat the functionality of this. We keep trying and I know we will make it. But so far there are more disadvantages of V2 than advantages. It has become heavier, bulkier, but smaller inside, and still only slightly closer to perfect in liquid tightness. V2 is more robust under heat and this is the major advantage but still not ready for release.

Have decided to remake a new mold since the current one can not be changed more. This is needed anyway because we can implement design improvements that we have learned from feedback from our customers, so is an even better direction. I feel good about this, despite the time extension. You know how much it kills me every time to delay. It is coming, but feels like this sometimes.:

Tempting but no.... Still committed to always improving. Never giving up. Learning a lot from our mistakes. Thanks for hanging in there.

Scott Adams is a genius, it is as if he has experienced this all before....

Most companies can develop a new product in secret and announce it at the time of release without making their customers wait too long... We are transparent in every way, including admitting we know it sucks to wait with us.

Thanks for your support and commitment to us. GreenTraveler will grow for years and you who are reading this will always be able to say it would not have happened without me.

Update on product status

Hey there everyone!

Very much wish I could invite each of you to a party, or fine restaurant and buy you a drink of your choice just to meet you all in person and say thank you! So many packages shipped and to nearly each place I feel some connection because of where I have been, or a good friend is, or a memory of an experience. With 29 countries and nearly all 50 US states behind me, this past year I have settled to build this business. Only travel when necessary for GreenTraveler.

I wish I could explain how difficult this is. How much I want it perfect and how possible I believe that is but is taking so long. Everything takes so long! Sorry for the two month delayed update... development, shipping, development, marketing, shipping,...

Each package shipped I manage personally and that means, an email confirmation back and forth, everyday checking for those who want it shipped and have confirmed, entering their data manually in a spreadsheet and uploading it to one of three warehouses, plus a follow up to make sure they received the tracking info, or at least the package. . . Just to be able to do that we established a company and a fulfillment warehouse in Europe and HK, in addition to the one in the US!

We are to market with V1 and getting very positive reviews. It came out better last minute then I expected originally, and we believe most of you will be happy with V1. Below are two images of the differences without saying too much as V2 is still not final.

We are dedicated to delivering the best! I ask that you please not do anything to hinder sales going forward on other sites. I will ship if you want it. I need positive but honest reviews! V1 is what the world knows. This is an acceptable first launch of the product. I need to continue a growth stage. But will still never forget about making sure each of you are satisfied. V1 or V2 when it's ready. You are my homies! The primary pioneers! The supporters that made this possible! I can not be more indebted to you! We will ship you anytime you confirm!
